A MILKY-WHITE COMPLEXION

Pin-up girls (think Dita Von Teese for example) often have a very pale complexion, reinforced by a very light foundation. Of course if you don’t like this tone or if your complexion is rather dark naturally, forget the pale complexion and just make sure to unify your complexion by using a foundation close to the color of your skin. So start with a foundation to unify your skin tone and camouflage imperfections (so-called ” blur ” bases are ideal for unifying). Then apply a foundation with a brush to avoid any streaks, and be careful not to forget the neck area (in order to avoid a sharp line where the color changes).

Add a little concealer if necessary and highlight the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the chin and the middle of the forehead with a lighter and slightly iridescent illuminator. You can choose to highlight only part of the face (either the eyes or the mouth). And adjust these according to the outfits and your personality. You can also replace the eyeliner with      smoky eye shadow for an intense and mysterious look.

Also adapt to the staging. If your decor is more natural, apply your make-up more lightly. And avoid femme fatale makeup which would be  out of context. For an Arabian Nights session think of kohl make-up… In short, be creative.
