Beginner camgirl: traps to avoid

When starting a new business, it is a good idea to learn from other veterans who are used to it and who know all the tricks. Everyone is a beginner at some point, but if we can avoid a few traps that can cost us a lot, that’s always a plus!

If you’re lucky enough to find yourself in a good team, having other camgirls as friends, you’ll learn quickly. If not, I’d recommend going on their profiles to see their techniques. This will prevent you from falling into the traps of some greedy customers who are quick to spot newbies.

Some will be just a little teasing, but well-meaning. And they’ll try to help you and make you feel comfortable. But others will be downright unhealthy and may try to manipulate you to get things from you for free. Or worse. And it can often be difficult to tell the difference between the two. Only experience will teach you how to separate them quickly. But in the meantime, here are a few tips to follow to avoid falling into the traps which often catch out beginners.

Keep your work on your camming platform

The lure of profits can sometimes make us want more and tell ourselves that we can make more money on the side. But it’s a bad idea to go and see if the grass is greener elsewhere. Remember that camming platforms take a commission but for a good reason. They put systems into place which are there to protect you and to protect your anonymity. Your private life is important. You don’t want to have more or less well-meaning strangers show up on your doorstep, do you?!

So, don’t swap over to PayPal or Skype, for example. Don’t make an account which requires your name and personal information. Personal information could be found by your clients this way. Even if some will give you all the reasons in the world why you should do it.

Do not accept Amazon gift cards either. Okay, we like to be spoiled, but it can be dangerous. Some shops offer secure wishlists but there still aren’t very many of them. It’s therefore a risk to your anonymity.

Focus first and foremost on your camscore on the platform you are performing on. The higher your score, the more visible you’ll be. And the more you will attract new subscribers who’ll give you tips and tokens. So don’t be in too much of a hurry to get spoiled. If members can’t give you tokens for whatever reason (they can become creative, believe me), concentrate on the next guy who will. And who cares if you seem nice.

Additionally

It’s important to know that services like PayPal allow for payments to be contested or even refunded. Amazon Gift Cards can be faked or revoked. And using Skype eliminated the possibility of earning more tokens, money, and visibility. Don’t be naive. People will do horrible things to see and talk to you for free, even going so far as to create fake gift cards or really credible delivery confirmations. And you’ll end up in tears and with empty pockets. This is unfortunately one of the most common traps!

Charge for your friends list

Because you’re new, many men will want to get to know you. And with that, they’ll ask you a lot of questions. That’s why it’s a good idea to charge to get onto your friends list. This will separate out those who are really motivated and prevent you from being harassed out of your mind. Ask for at least 200 tokens. This will automatically eliminate guys who aren’t really serious. Especially since these are the ones who flood you with useless messages, who try to make you believe that they are special and to convince you that you should talk to them for free. No. Nothing for free. Ever. Even if you like them. If they like you so much back, they’ll pay. That’s their way of saying “thank you” or “I love you”.

On top of that, flooding you with messages wastes your precious time. It also prevents you from concentrating on the essentials: your room, your decorations, your shows. So, focusing on the group rather than on different individual people is a wise decision, at least for now.

Keep smiling but always be suspicious

You’re brand new, so the site will promote – men love it. Some are going to try to manipulate you to get free things from you, like I already mentioned. So turn this trend on its head. Playing on your inexperience can pay off for you. Because they like to see your clumsiness and feel powerful guiding you, play at being a naive girl – but don’t be.

Always stay positive and keep smiling, but always be a little sceptical. Don’t believe the fine words, and ask them to prove their promises to you. They say they’re honest, that they’re good men, etc, etc? Ask them to prove it with time. You can be friends with someone without completely trusting them. And initially, it’s your best protection against people looking to take advantage of you.

If you want your camming work to go well, don’t trust blindly. Manipulative people don’t necessarily always look it. On the contrary, they can be kind and gentle. On the other hand, they can also be aggressive and vulgar. Essentially what I’m saying is that it’s not always obvious. Don’t let anybody pressure you into giving them free stuff, but also don’t let anyone scare you into giving them free stuff either. Ignore those who want to give you advice under the guise of “helping” you make more money. At the end of the say, what these people want is to control you: say this, do that, act like this, send me these photos or this content, blah blah blah. So smile and pass on to the next one!

Now that you know some of the traps beginner camgirls and camboys can fall into, it’s time to get started!
