How to keep your sex toys clean?

Everyone knows that to make something you love last you have to take care of it. This is also true of sex toys. Keeping them clean is essential for several reasons.

When you are a camgirl or camboy, you often have several sex toys in your drawers to spice up your shows. And we can say they tend to serve their purpose well, can’t we? Sometimes shows can last a long time, they are repeated, we vary the pleasure by changing them at certain times… In short, we use and abuse them. This is something to think about when choosing them, both for practicality and for health reasons. So here are the little extras you should not forget about to make your work tools last as long as possible.

1 – To store them, opt for an airtight storage box or a small suitcase with multiple compartments

Having a place to store your sex toys is very practical. First of all, you have put everything together in one place. In addition, you can store everything quickly and easily. Finally, you can take it everywhere quite discreetly. The best thing to use if you want to take it with you is something with small wheels so that it’s easy to move around, especially if you sometimes do outdoor work. And if you have your hands full, you can still move it effortlessly.

2 – Protect your sex toys with protective covers or pouches

If you get a good brand, they usually come with one. If not, you can easily find them online. But if you’re on a budget, you can also make them yourself (or ask someone you know who is better at sewing than you). If none of the above is possible, you can also fall back on a washing mitt.

Why should you protect them? Because you are protecting them from moisture, dust or any other bacteria that might be lurking around. Plus, you’re protecting them from rubbing against each other. In short, it’s a must for great hygiene.

3 – Lay them on a towel

To keep your hygiene up to a high standard, don’t put your sex toys everywhere. Prepare a small towel where you can carefully place them before or after use. This will avoid picking up all the hair in the area or any dust that may have settled. Of course, it has to be clean. Place your towel out of view of the cam to keep it sexy. Don’t forget to change your towel for each show.

Having different sex toys for a show is important, especially if you do both anal and vaginal. This keeps them separate and prevents the mixing of bacteria that could lead to fungus or other intimate health problems. Also think of an extension cable to charge them all simultaneously. And only do it when they have completely run out of battery, so the battery will last longer.

4 – Opt for high-quality sex toys

I know that sometimes budgets can be a bit tight. But it is better to invest in quality rather than buying cheap things. Indeed, the quality of your sex toy will make it last longer and will tend to make it easier to maintain. And the better you take care of it, the more you can enjoy it.

Some materials in some sex toys can degrade over time (which could harm your health in the long run). Not to mention smells or materials that become sticky. If you have to change them regularly, it will quickly become more expensive than investing in a good quality vibrator.

5 – Wash them after every use

Never store your sex toy without washing it. You need to wash them after every use. You can use cleaning solutions, but you can also simply rinse them with warm water to remove any residue. If they are really dirty, you can use a mild soap. Then dry them carefully before putting them back in their cover. Doing so will prevent you from seeing little mushrooms or other unwanted guests on your sex toys.

Also remember to clean your covers and storage box from time to time.

6 – Don’t just use any lubricant

Some sex toys are not compatible with silicone lubricants. If you want to be sure not to make a mistake, choose a water-based one. They may dry a little faster, but they are much healthier for your vaginal/anal/penile flora.

Reminder

During private shows, you might be asked for unusual or special requests for penetrations that are a little… out of the ordinary. If you have to use anything other than your sex toys, remember to use a condom. This will preserve your intimate hygiene but can also protect you from certain inconveniences (rubbing, irritation, etc.). And if you don’t want to, don’t hesitate to say no! Your body, your choice.
